The Terminal

Purpose of the Terminal

An entry point to the seaports

Un pont entre la Région du centre et les ports de mer

Garocentre Terminal is the ideal entry point to the seaports for those involved in logistics established south of the Brussels Region, in Hainaut and Northern France.

The terminal's location south of Brussels and the region's excellent water and rail links enable us to build a bridge between our region and the ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam and Zeebrugge, and over the road traffic-clogged Brussels and Antwerp regions.

We handle rail and inland waterway transport of maritime containers between our customers' sites and the maritime quays, enabling them to benefit from all the advantages of intermodal transport:

Timeliness and phasing of the arrival of containers at the client's site (through buffer stock at the terminal)
Reliability of schedules, independence from the vagaries of road traffic
Safe transport, including of hazardous cargo
And all this while improving the economic performance and environmental footprint of transport for our customers

An interconnection point between modes of transport for continental supply flows

Garocentre TerminalGarocentre Terminal provides regional businesses with the opportunity of opting for easy, reliable and safe intermodal transport.

The platform is equipped with multifunctional handling facilities enabling transhipment of all types of goods, whether containerized or not (except pure bulk):

Steel products
Cargo
Pallets
Big Bag
Break-Bulk and special transport

Whether importing raw materials or distributing finished goods in Belgium or abroad, Duferco Logistique handles road transport between the client's site and the terminal, handles the modal shift to rail or inland waterway and coordinates transport by barge or by train.
